Living at La Estrella is like immersing yourself in one of Dallas’ most vibrant, thriving areas. It is embracing a neighborhood where renewal and progress are the standard, not an exception. Shopping, dining, newer schools and the bedrock of great parks, churches and people are what we’re experiencing in Oak Cliff … and you can too.
Peter Simek wrote in D Magazine “The real secret of North Oak Cliff is that there is no North Oak Cliff. The area is a collection of many neighborhoods, each with its distinctive character, sensibility, networks of families and friends, and sense of pride and place. Still, if you really wanted to say what unites all these places, it would be that North Oak Cliff’s particular demographics, geography, and history have helped to create a place that has embraced contradiction and diversity like nowhere else in Dallas. It is a place that has had to fight for its businesses, fight for city services, and fight to retain its history and protect its small victories. The result of all that fighting is a defined and resilient sense of self.”
We have worked with the City of Dallas to acquire the land, and to develop these beautiful townhomes to create what we call “casas urbanas económico.” It is more than catch-phrase, it is our way of continuing the mission of the Catholic Housing Initiative to deliver fair and reasonable housing choices to families and seniors throughout Dallas/Fort Worth.
